Honourable Adebisi made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM weekly programme that profiles the past lives of the elderly, “The Grey Hair”.
According to Honourable Adebisi the quest for local government autonomy is still generating issues in the country and this has been affecting socio-economic development at the grassroots.
‘‘He said that the local government is the bedrock for sustainable development in nation building’’
Hon Adebisi also stressed that autonomy would help to stop deductions of local government allocation by the state government.
He added that local governments are the constituent units of the state, hence the needful must be done to ensure its independence.
