The Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan has called on the federal government to collaborate with United States government and other countries in tackling terrorism in Nigeria.
Comrade Abatan made the call in an interview, in reaction to US President, Donald Trump’s threat to wipe out Islamic terrorists committing genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
According to him, federal government needs to see President Trump’s threat as a wakeup call to fight terrorism, which has persisted in the country.
Comrade Abatan, who is also the Public Relations Officer, NUP southwest zone called for calm among Nigerians, noting that President Trump’s threat is against terrorists and not Nigerians.
