In a gesture of goodwill and unity, the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Olaoye, paid a courtesy visit to the newly enthroned Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja.
The visit was hailed as a moment of joy and fulfillment, reaffirming the long-standing bond between Ibadan and Ogbomoso. Oba Olaoye praised the people of Ibadan for their peaceful and seamless chieftaincy transition process, expressing hope that the bond between the two cities would flourish under Oba Ladoja’s leadership.
During their meeting, the two monarchs discussed the importance of unity, progress, and collective destiny of the Yoruba people. Oba Olaoye emphasized that unity is key to achieving greater peace, prosperity, and flourishing for generations to come.
