The University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Oyo State Branch, has extended its condolences to the family, Vice-chancellor, and the entire University community on the passing of Prof. Ayo Banjo.
This was made known in a statement signed by the association’s branch chairman, Mr Tunde Olayiwola and General Secretary, Mr Lateef-folaranmi Wakeel.
The association described Prof. Banjo’s loss as a profound one felt not only by the University of Ibadan, but the entire Nation.
The Association also said Prof. Banjo was renowned for his great leadership and noted that his vision, dedication and leadership will be greatly missed.
Prof. Banjo, the former and longest serving Vice-chancellor of University of Ibadan, passed away on the 23rd of last month, at the age of 90.
