The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council has appealed to its members and Christians to pray fervently for the peace of the state and Nigeria as they celebrate Christmas.
The union identified Prayer as an essential tool needed to excel in every endeavor, even at critical socio- political and economic challenging times.
The Chairman, Oyo state NUP, Comrade Isiaka Abolade and Executive Secretary, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, in a statement emphasised the need for members of the union to appreciate God for life and endless mercies for keeping them alive throughout the year.
Comrades Abolade and Abatan urged members to rejoice in the Lord, even as they celebrate with caution, believing that God would perfect their plans in 2024.
The union thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for all he has been doing for the senior citizens while praying to God to grant him all his heart desires.
