WASSET Begins Waste to Wealth in Oyo

A waste recycling company, Waste as an Asset, (WASSET) under Decentralized Future in Motion Limited, DFMLab today embarked on a day sensitisation for Ibadan residents on how to turn waste recycling into wealth.

The programme, which was held at Ogunpa market, Ibadan had in attendance market men and women, artisans and people from all spheres of life.

According to the Co-founder of WASSET, Mr Oluwafemi Boyejo, residents of Ibadan would be able to recycle plastic, iron and leather waste products with WASSET and in exchange for money or to settle medical bills.

Mr Boyejo, who is also the CEO of DFMLab, said WASSET’s aim was to amplify the importance of recycling of waste to hasten the transition to a less plastic and rustic iron burdened society.

Speaking on the free medical service conducted during the programme, Mr Boyejo said it was to intimate Nigerians on how they could settle their medical bills through waste recycling.

Mr Boyejo, equally solicited the support of agencies in Oyo state to achieve the aim of effective recycling of waste in the state.

Some beneficiaries of the free medical service commended WASSET for the initiative.

Pensioners FM correspondent reports that a WASSET Center is located at Ogunpa market, where people would be able to exchange their waste products for money.
