The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed commitment of his administration to bring progress, peace and prosperity to the state.
Governor Makinde reaffirmed this at the 9th edition of Omituntun mega praise and end of the year 2023 thanksgiving, held at government house arcade, Agodi, Ibadan.
Makinde, who attested to the importance of sacrifice and gratitude, appreciated people of Oyo state for making his reelection in the outgoing year a reality through their support.
Earlier in his sermon, the presiding pastor of the Living Spring Chapel, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, while outlining the importance of thanksgiving, urged the state government to set a day aside for combined thanksgiving day annually.
Highlight of the mega praise, themed, sacrifice of praise include artistes performances, congregational prayer for God’s blessing and protection over Governor Makinde, his family, and Oyo state at large.
Traditional and religious leaders, were among dignitaries that converged to celebrate the end of the year program.
