Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Y. D. Ahmed has noted that the management of the Scheme will ensure that Corps members are posted to safe areas due to security concerns.
Brigadier General Ahmed gave the assurance during his visit to the Oyo State NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, while addressing the 2024 Batch B Stream one Corps members deployed to Oyo State.
He noted that the welfare of Corps members is of paramount importance to the scheme and Corps members will not be posted to where their safety cannot be guaranteed.
He further cautioned Corps members on the transmission of the activities of the Camp on social media, while noting that it is a violation of the Scheme’s rules. He further urged Corps members to be disciplined and respect camp officials throughout their stay on camp.
Brigadier Gen. Ahmed speaking further urged Corps members to see themselves as brothers and sisters as the orientation camp is to appreciate Nigeria’s diversity.
