A Retired Assistant Director of National Horticultural Research Institute, NIHORT Mrs. Funmilayo Oladipo has called on the government to fund the agricultural sector to enhance food security.
Mrs Oladipo made this known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM programme “The Grey Hair “which profiles the past life of the elderly
She urged the government to put more effort into funding agricultural research institutes.
Mrs Oladipo further noted that continuous training for personnel at the research institutes should be encouraged so as to meet up with the changes in the agricultural sector.
