The Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has appealed to other Ogbomoso ruling houses that are in court to contest the selection of the new Soun of Ogbomoso to withdraw the cases.
Governor Makinde made the appeal during the official coronation and presentation of staff of Office to the 21st, Soun Of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 3rd.
According to the Oyo State Governor, the withdrawal of the Court cases was necessary to ensure rapid development of the town.

Governor Makinde, who promised to ensure progress of Ogbomoso land, urged traditional rulers to support the government.
Governor Makinde, charged Oba Olaoye to work assiduously for the unity of the land and also ensure a functional council of traditional rulers.
In his acceptance speech entitled “My dream, My Reality of Ogbomoso land, the newly installed, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege the 3rd, pledged to serve as a shepherd of all.
The monarch also appealed to Ogbomoso indigenes to key into his 25 years vision plan for the town, which will be unveiled next month.
Dignitraries at the event were former Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse and notable Nigerians from all walks of life.
