NUP Southwest Urges Adeleke to Pay Gratuities

Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP Southwest Zone has appealed to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke to expedite action on the payment of gratuities left behind by the past administration.

The Public Relations Officer of NUP, Southwest Zone, Comrade Olusegun Abatan made the appeal while speaking to newsmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

According to Comrade Abatan, the union is aware that Governor Adeleke met humongous amount of gratuities on ground which was exacerbated by the past administration.

Comrade Abatan also lauded Governor Adeleke for prioritising the welfare of pensioners since he became the governor, and highlighted the governor’s administration achievements to include, funding Elders’ Day, donation of a 28 Seater Bus to the state NUP, enrolment of pensioners into health insurance scheme and paying the balance of gratuities to next of kin to deceased pensioners.

He appealed to other southwest governors not duly prioritising the welfare of pensioners to do so.
