The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board , Hon Akeem Ademola Ige has charged the management and staff of the Board to support and cooperate with the newly posted Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Board, Mr Olufemi Akinwale.
Hon. Ige gave the charge while addressing the entire members of staff of the Board at the general meeting held today at the conference room, Local Government Service Commission, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Chairman welcomed the new Permanent Secretary and then solicited for the support , cooperation, more commitment and dedication of the management and staff in order to sustain the legacy and achievements recorded by the present administration in the state and the Board in particular.
He emphasized the need for staff to be more disciplined , be proactive and come up with initiatives that will bring more progress to the Board.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole congratulated and welcomed Mr Olufemi Akinwale and prayed for his successful tenure in office.
In his address, the newly posted Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Board, Mr Akinwale expressed his profound gratitude to the state governor, Seyi Makinde for appointing him last year and presently posted to the Board.
He also thanked Hon. Ige and then enjoined staff to treat pensioners with utmost humility, respect and patience, noting that they are all image makers of the Board in their respective offices.
Speaking on behalf of the entire staff, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE) , Comrade Adedokun Ademola appreciated the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Ige, Permanent Secretary and Heads of Departments for the various welfare packages being enjoyed by the staff and pledged their continued loyalty, support and cooperation to the present administration in the state and management of the Board.
