About sixteen people have been confirmed dead in an accident along the Ojo-Iwo Road section of the Ibadan-Lagos expressway, near the Agbowo/Ajao area.
The Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oyo Sector Command, CRC Mayowa Odewo, confirmed the incident to Pensioners FM Correspondent.
According to CRC Odewo, seventeen people were also injured and have been taken to the hospital, while two were left unscarred.

CRC Odewo said the accident occurred when a trailer loaded with roofing sheets collided with an 18-seater bus, a taxi, and a private car, adding that the FRSC, Oyo Sector Commander, Corps Commander Rosemary Alo has visited the scene of the accident.

CRC Odewo, advised road users to be cautious while driving.
Two eyewitnesses at the scene of the incident told Pensioners FM that the trailer had a brake failure and collided with the other three vehicles.
The eyewitnesses said the ongoing construction at the Lagos-Ibadan expressway could be responsible for the fatality.
