ADSN Oyo State Inaugurates New Executive Body

The Leadership and members of The Ansar -Ud-Deen Society, ADS, Oyo State have been admonished to keep maintaining the group’s frontline in the promotion of Islamic tenets as contained in the Holy Quran and Hadith, as well as Islamic and Western education which are the core vision of the Society.

This is contained in an address by the Chief Missioner, ADS, Oyo state Council, Dr. Bashir Olarewaju at the Swearing-In Ceremony of New Executives members held at the ADS Islamic Centre, Liberty Road,Oke Ado Ibadan.

This is contained in a statement by the Council’s Publicity Secretary, Brother Nurain Akintoye made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

According to the Statement, Dr.Olarewaju, represented by the State Council Mission Board Secretary, Imam Waheed Adeyemi Adetona – Asisoloriiro, told the new Executive Members under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Gbolagade Aminu and Secretary, Alhaji Mutiu Alade to further build on unity and peace in order to achieve on the set projects and Programmes of the society for the benefit of members and the general populace.

The Mission Board Secretary who noted that Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, especially the Oyo State Council, has come a long way in contributing to educational development and discussions on important national issues, urged the Executive to keep the flag flying.

In his remark address, outgoneState Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ladejo, who provided an overview of the remarkable achievements recorded during the tenure, expressed hope that with focus, support and prayer of members, the new executives will surpass the milestones set by their predecessors.

The new State Executives later took their oath of office known as “Bayat” under the guidance of the State Mission Board Secretary before the Outgone chairman presented the new Executives with their Certificates of Return, symbolising their official assumption of office.

In his inaugural Speech, the new Chairman, ADS, Oyo State Council, Alhaji Gbolagade Aminu who expressed gratitude to  members  of Society for confidence reposed in him and other members of the executive which led their election, however emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation to achieve more for the Society.

He promised that the new leadership will commit itself  to fostering quality leadership, unity and progress within the society and Islam at large.

Among other Executive Members sworn – in include the National Vice President, Alhaji Teslim Adediran, National Financial Secretary, Alhaji Raheem Tunji, Legal Adviser, Alhaji Liadi Folorunso and the State Publicity Secretary, Brother Nurain Akintoye.
