Media professionals have been advised to focus on building legacies rather than pursuing brown envelopes.
A veteran photojournalist, Hakeem Olaosun, said this while featuring on Pensioners FM’s Yoruba sports programme, Okoto Ege.
Mr. Olaosun, popularly known as “Ola Photo Sports”, who has spent over two decades documenting the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), was recently honoured by a photography company, Canon with a brand new camera and a certificate of excellence in recognition of his dedication and consistency.
He expressed joy for the recognition, describing it as a reward for years of passionate service.
Mr. Olaosun encouraged journalists to remain focused and committed, stressing that pursuing excellence and building a name would always bring honour.
