Build on Muraina’s good legacy – Oyo Govt. Tells LGSPB’s Staff

The Oyo state government has called on workers of Local Government Staff Pension Board, to build on good legacy left behind by the immediate past Permanent Secretary of the board, Alhaji Lukmon Muraina.


Oyo state Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni made this known at the 60th birthday and retirement service of Alhaji Muraina, held at Western Hall, Parliament Building, Secretariat, Ibadan.


According to Mrs Oni, Alhaji Muraina’s tenure as Permanent Secretary revamped Local Government Staff Pension Board, especially for the betterment of the state’s retirees.

Mrs Oni advised Alhaji Muraina not to shut the door of knowledge to workers of the board.


On his part, Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan while congratulating Alhaji Muraina, lauded his approach to dealing with retirees in the state, through policies that facilitated seamless payment of gratuities and pensions.

On his part, Chairman, Local Government Staff Pension Board, Honourable Akeem Ige congratulated Alhaji Muraina on his achievements at the board and urged him not to relent after retirement.

The celebrant and his wife, Alhaji Muraina and Alhaja Adenike Taiwo-Muraina appreciated everyone for celebrating with them.

Dignitaries at the event were Commissioners for Land, Housing and Urban Development, Honourable Williams Akin-Funmilayo, Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Professor Salihu Adelabu and Forum of Permanent Secretaries.
