As Muslims all over the world celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammed, an APC stalwart in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, has urged every Nigerian of Islamic faith to intensify prayers for the peace, progress and economic stability of the country.
Prince Abass-Aleshinloye, in a statement through his media office, urged Muslims to use the occasion of the celebration of the Maulud Nabbiyy to imbibe and promote the virtues of humility, love, peace, harmony and mutual co-existence which the prophet exemplified.
“Let us remember to pray fervently for the economic prosperity of our nation to achieve greater unity and progress among our fellow countrymen and women, irrespective of religion or place of origin, and promote greater development to the nation.
The former Executive Chairman of Oluyole local government also urged Muslims to pray for the success of President Bola Tinubu in his attempt to steer the country’s ship towards a brighter future.
“Maulud Nabiyy is a special period that calls for sober reflections and special prayers to the Almighty Allah for the peace, progress and economic stability of the country” the ex-Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, chairman added.
