Islamic Scholar Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet Mohammed

An Islamic scholar, Alhaji Idris Adebisi has called on Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Mohammed for the peace and progress of the nation.

 Alhaji Adebisi gave the advice in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, at the 2024 Maolud Nabiy Lecture and Charity Donation organised by University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates’ Association, UIMGA.

Alhaji Adebisi said Prophet Mohammed during his lifetime exercised patience, honesty, dedication, perseverance and love.

The Islamic scholar urged Muslims to sustain their religious obligations and spiritual undertakings, stating that such endeavours would go a long way in shaping the destiny of the country.

 On his part, National President of UIMGA, Alhaji Imran Adebayo, asked leaders to use the occasion of the celebration to reflect on their actions and redouble their efforts in selfless service for the general good of the people.

 Alhaji Adebayo also urged Nigerians to use the occasion as a starting point for a new era of peace, love and trust in Allah.

Highlights of the event include award of scholarships to twenty indigent students and distribution of food items to Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria, FOMWAN Orphanage Centre, at Kolapo Ishola Road, Ibadan.

Among Dignitaries Present at the event include, Former UIMGA, National President, Professor AbdulRasheed Aderinoye, Chairperson, FOMWAN, Alhaja Lateefat Dairo Chairman of the Planning Committee, Alhaji Kazeem Olayiwola and other executives.
