The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, says communities purchasing electricity infrastructures will soon become the thing of the past.
Chief Adelabu gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy visit on Governor Seyi Makinde while inspecting some electricity power plants in Oyo State.
According to Chief Adelabu, it was the responsibility of electricity distribution companies to provide transformers, poles and cables to communities within their areas of coverage.
Responding, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, described electricity act 2023 as the game changer that his administration would leverage on to bolster power distribution in the State.
Governor Makinde also expressed Oyo state’s readiness to combine efforts with federal government in providing stable and reliable electricity for the people.
