Ember Months: Punishment awaits offenders – FRSC

The Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Oyo Sector Command, Chief Route Commander, CRC Mayowa Odewo, has appealed to road users, especially motorists to adhere to traffic rules to make the ember months unique and crash-free.

CRC Odewo made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM Correspondent, shortly after featuring on the station’s weekly political programme “The Searchlight”.

The Sector Public Education Officer, said if accidents must be avoided in ember months, drivers should drive on stipulated speed limit, avoid expired tyres and always check their vehicles before putting them on the road.

CRC Odewo, however, noted that the command was ready to ensure safety during the ember months and punishments awaits offenders.

CRC Odewo also appealed to media outfits to continue to enlighten the public on the dangers of over speeding and to cooperate with FRSC in its bid to ensure a safe motoring environment.
