A member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE, Ndubuisi Okorie says enforcement of axle load limits will prevent damages on major roads and highways.
Engineer Okorie said this while featuring on Pensioners FM weekly Current Affairs programme “Searchlight”.
According to Engineer Okorie, enforcement of axle load limits would prolong the lifespan of roads and enable the government to utilise funds for road repairs on other projects.
Engineer Okorie also appealed to federal government and stakeholders in the transportation sector to always employ professionals for road constructions and maintenance.
