A Veteran journalist, Mr Oladele Ogunsola, has called for regulation of social media.
Mr Ogunsola made the call while featuring on “Grey Hair”, a Pensioners’ FM programme, which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Mr Ogunsola, if various social media platforms are not regulated, they would continue to promote fake news and have adverse effects on journalism profession.
The former Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Olalekan Balogun, also described the advent of Artificial Intelligence, AI as a global phenomenon and urged Journalists not to relent in acquiring knowledge on digital media.
