The federal Government says it has concluded plans to ramp up power generation to 6,000 megawatts from 4,000 megawatts by the end of this year.

Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu made this known during media engagement in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

According to Chief Adelabu, President Bola Tinubu’s led administration is determined to break the 4,000 megawatts jinx that has spanned decades, prior to his appointment as the 47th Minister of Power.

He said the ministry has generated over 5,000 megawatts of electricity in the space of 60 days which he said has been responsible for the current epileptic power supply.

Chief Adelabu said all power electricity distribution companies have to be more alive to their responsibilities in the interest of Nigerians.
