The Executive Secretary, of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, has called on pensioners under the Contributory Pension Scheme, CPS to fight against administrative mismanagement.
Comrade Abatan made the call while featuring on a monitored radio station in Ibadan.
According to him, the scheme was not beneficial to its members and lamented that the scheme has condemned the retirees to a life with no prospect of survival after retirement.
He also queried the management of CPS and asked why some beneficiaries were removed from the scheme since its inception in 2007.
The Oyo NUP Scribe described the scheme as unrealistic, saying the CPS hijacked the beneficiaries of Defined Benefit Schemes who were not supposed to be under the scheme.
