The Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has appealed to the people of Oyo, especially the royal families to settle their differences in order to hasten the selection of a new Alaafin of Oyo.
Governor Makinde made the appeal while inaugurating the College of Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resources, a satellite campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), in Iseyin.
Governor Makinde, expressed readiness to crown a new Oyo Alaafin once the royal households present a united front.
Recall that the Alaafin stool has been vacant since Ọba Lamidi Adeyemi the III, joined his ancestors on 22nd of April, 2022.
