Ibrahim Abiodun Chatta is a Nigerian actor, film director, producer, and musician born 13th of October, 1970 and regarded as one of the most prominent actors in Nollywood.
He was born into a large, polygamous Muslim family of fourteen children, from Bachita in Edu Local Government in Kwara state and he is Tapa rather than Yoruba.
He completed his basic education at Bachita’s St. Bridges Catholic Basic School. He successfully obtained his first school leaving certificate and enrolled in the Government Secondary School in Bachita, but he was later sent to another region in Niger state.
Ibrahim Chatta attended Dende Secondary School in Aggeia before dropping out. Despite his scant schooling, Chatta speaks English proficiently.
Since he was a little child, Ibrahim Chatta has had a passion for performing. His goal came true in 1995 when he was 15 years old, and he started to get cast in significant roles in the film business.
He finally gained notoriety in 2012 when he co-starred in the movie Aiyekooto.
He has also featured in movies like “Olokiki Oru” which he produced in 2019, “Ifa Iwa” (2013), “Omoyagba” (2020), “King of Thieves” (2021).
Ibrahim Chatta is also gifted with a beautiful voice, which he has used to create over a hundred soundtracks and excerpts of popular Yoruba songs for commercial purposes.
Over the years, Chatta has gained notoriety for his dedication, persistence, and passion for his work, and his films have won Awards. He has been nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Supporting Actor in a Yoruba Film (Ifa Iwa) at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards and City People Movies Awards, 2019 as Best Actor of the Year (Yoruba).
Ibrahim Chatta is said to have been in and out of two marriages before his present one. He is blessed with two children.
