Acting Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, has called for peaceful coexistence and tolerance between Isese adherents and people of other faiths in the State.
Barrister Lawal made the call at the grand finale of 2024 Isese festival, themed “ Isese Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” held at Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Acting Governor said that the state government would continue to do everything in its capacity to ensure that Yoruba cultural heritages do not go into extinction

Earlier in their various remarks Araba of Ibadanland, Chief Ifalere Odegbola and Aare Isese of Oyo State, Omikunmi Ẹgbẹ́ladé, said the visionary act of Governor Seyi Makinde is a testament to his dedication in fostering inclusivity and celebration of rich tapestry of traditions that make Oyo state unique.
Highlight of the event was presentation of prizes to outstanding performing zones and groups.
