The labour unions in Oyo state have appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his worker-friendly policies.
The unions including Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Joint Negotiating Council made this known in a statement by Oyo NLC Secretary, Comrade Adebayo Aribatise.
According to the statement, the unions commended Governor Makinde for increasing the payment of gratuity from 1.5 billion naira to 3 billion naira, noting that the decision demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of retirees.
The unions also applauded consistent payment of the 13th month salary which has been paid for the seventh time, as well as the prompt release of subventions.
They further reaffirmed the Governor’s dedication to the wellbeing of workers and retirees in Oyo State and his unwavering support for industrial harmony.
