The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has declared open at Ibadan Golf Club, the 8th edition of Seyi Makinde Women Support Pro-invitational and Amateur Open Golf Championship.
In his address Governor Seyi Makinde appreciated the unprecedented support he has enjoyed from the state Golfers and pledged continuous sponsorship of the women golf tournaments in the State.
Earlier in his address, the Captain of the Ibadan Golf Club, Mr Tunji Oladosu appreciated the magnanimity of Governor Makinde towards the development of Golf in the state.
Mr Oladosu also expressed optimism that the club would have a successful tournament which is expected to round off tomorrow.
The opening ceremony had in attendance, the Lady Captain of Ibadan Golf Club, Mrs Docas Qluwatunmise, Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, and some other top government functionaries.
