Two Public Affairs Analysts have appealed to Nigerians to allow the Senate to carry out its legislative proceedings on the appointment of Mr. Ola Olukoyede as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.
The Public Affairs Analysts, Honourable Femi Adebisi, and Mr. John Njoku appealed while featuring on the Station & Current Affairs Programme & quote: Voice of Liberation & quote;
According to Honourable Adebisi, the Controversy surrounding the
appointment of Mr Olukoyede would be best interpreted by the Senate.
Honourable Adebisi added that Mr Olukoyedes antecedence such as the reason for his suspension as the EFCC Secretary should have been dealt with before his appointment.
On his part, Mr Njoku said the federal government had done his
assignment before presenting Mr Olukoyede before the Senate.
Honourable Adebisi and Mr Njoku appealed to Nigerians to await the
outcome of the senate screening.
Recall that some Nigerians have described his appointment as unlawful and illegal, adding that it runs afoul of the provisions of Section 2 of the EFCC Act.
