Makinde Extends 10,000 Naira Transport Allowance to Retirees

Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has equally approved 10,000 naira transport allowance to retirees, as a way to cushion the effects of the recent hike in petroleum price.

Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM Correspondent.

According to Comrade Abatan, the payment would commence next month.

The Oyo NUP Scribe lauded Governor Makinde for his compassion towards welfare of the state’s retirees.

Governor Makinde had announced a 10,000 naira monthly transportation support fund for the state workers, including local government employees.
