Makinde Inaugurates Ultra-Modern Palace for Olubadan

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, says eleven local Government areas in Ibadan land will be responsible for the maintenance of the newly built Olubadan Palace.

Governor Makinde, said while inaugurating the ultra-modern edifice at Oke Aremo Ibadan.

Governor Makinde, attributed the successful completion of the palace to former Governor of the state, Late Abiola Ajimobi and a former President-General of CCII, Chief Bayo Oyero.

The Governor also pledged that his administration will renovate and explore the tourism potential of Bower’s Tower.

In his speech, the Olubadan designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, represented by Oba Lateef Adebimpe, boasted that the new palace will compete with Buckenham palace, England.

Earlier in his address, the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigens, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, noted that the newly built Palace will put an end to mockery of Ibadan land.

In their various remarks, Asiwaju of Ibadan land and chairman of the event, Chief Bode Amoo and Chief Oyero commended Governor Makinde, sons and daughters of Ibadan that contributed immensely to the construction of the edifice.
