A Non-governmental Organisation, Network for People Living with HIV/ AIDS (NEPWHAN) says it is committed to a world where people living with the virus have access to basic healthcare.
Oyo State Programme Officer of NEPWHAN, Mr Seun Adebiyi said this at the last media chat for 2024, held in Ibadan.
According to Mr Adebiyi, NEPWHAN made steady progress this year at ensuring inclusive policies that promoted opportunities and value for people leaving with HIV/AID across five local government areas of Oyo State.
Mr Adebiyi said the local government areas that benefited from NEPWHAN’s activities were Ibadan North East, Ibadan South East, Egbeda, Ona-Ara and Oyo East.
Also speaking, State Coordinator of NEPWHAN, Mr. Faith Olawale called on stakeholders to support the NGO to enable the organisation to achieve its goals.
Mr. Olawale added that the organisation plans to intensify HIV/AIDS awareness programmes in more local government areas in Oyo State.
Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria, NEPWHAN was established in 1998 as a non-governmental Organization to serve as a collective voice of people Living with HIV in the country.
