The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo state Council, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with Oyo State Health Insurance Agency, OYSHIA for the take off of Oyo State Pensioners’ Hospital.
The MoU was signed by the two parties at Pensioners house, Agbarigo, Onireke, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to the Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, the MoU was aimed at ensuring that the hospital meets world standards in healthcare delivery.


Comrade Abatan, called on Governor Seyi Makinde to assist the union with provision of basic medical equipment to the hospital.
On his part, Executive Secretary of OYSHIA, Dr Olusola Akande, commended Oyo NUP for showing interest in the wellbeing of Pensioners and residents of the State.
Dr Akande said the Agency would assist in equipping the hospital w and accreditation.


Dr Akande also pointed out that Governor Seyi Makinde had paid in full the 2023 and 2024 contributions of pensioners, who have enrolled under the health insurance scheme of OYSHIA.
Chairman, Oyo NUP, Comrade Isiaka Abolade, Oyo NLC Chairman, Comrade Kayode Martins, various leaders of affiliated unions of Oyo NUP and OYSHIA officials witnessed the signing of the MoU.


Oyo State Pensioners Hospital is situated at Agbarigo, Onireke GRA, Ibadan.
