The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, South-West Zone has called on the governors in the zone to improve on the prompt payments of pensions and gratuities.
National Vice-President of the union in the zone, Elder Ayo Kumapayi stated this in a statement in commemoration of this year’s Pensioners’ Day.
Elder Kumapayi equally commended the governors in the zone for their friendly disposition to the plight of pensioners through the monthly and quarterly release of gratuities and payments of monthly pensions.
He went further to hail the leadership efforts of the South-West Zonal Council from the local branches through the State Councils for their persistent efforts in the struggle for the welfare of pensioners.
