Ondo Pensioners’ Pay Tribute to Former Governor Akeredolu

The Pensioners in Ondo State under the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), has paid tribute to the late Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

The pensioners paid the tribute in statement signed by the Union’s Chairman, Honourable Johnson Osunyemi and Secretary, Comrade Akin Sunday.

According to the statement, , Arakunrin Akeredolu’s death left a void in the pensioners hearts, and are saddened by the loss.

The Pensioners, described the late Governor Akeredolu has a leader who understood the plight of pensioners and worked tirelessly to improve their welfare during his tenure.

“He will be remembered for his dedication to serving the people of Ondo State and his commitment to ensuring that pensioners were taken care of.”

“During his time in office, Governor Akeredolu implemented various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of pensioners in the state. He prioritized the payment of pension arrears and ensured that pensioners received their entitlements timely.”

“His efforts in this regard brought relief to many pensioners who had been struggling to make ends meet. Governor Akeredolu’s compassion and empathy towards the elderly population in Ondo State earned him the respect and admiration of many.”

“Beyond his commitment to pensioners, Governor Akeredolu made significant contributions to the development of Ondo State. He initiated various projects and policies aimed at improving the overall quality of life for the people in the state. His vision for a prosperous and inclusive Ondo State will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to inspire future leaders to prioritize the well-being of pensioners and the elderly.”

The Ondo NUP added that Governor Akeredolu’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of Ondo State pensioners, and they will continue to honour his memory by upholding the values of compassion, dedication, and service to the community.
