Oyo NANNM Demands to Meet Gov. Makinde before Suspending Strike

Chairman National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Oyo State Council, Dr Samuel Adeyemi says members of the association want a face-to-face encounter with Governor Seyi Makinde before suspending the ongoing strike.

Dr Adeyemi made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM.

According to Dr Adeyemi, the association’s demands are accumulated promotions, poor remuneration of nurses and midwives, non- recruitment, non-payment of hazard and uniform allowances.

Dr Adeyemi further noted that brain drain, infrastructure, environmental and economic factors are other challenges faced by members of the association in the state.

Members of National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Oyo State Council have been on strike for over a month.
