The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin has formally inaugurated the special and standing committees of the 10th Assembly.
Honourable Ogundoyin who made this known in a statement said the special committees are seven in number and they include Selection Committee, House Services Committee, Public Petitions, Justice and Judiciary Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Ethics and Privileges Committee and Information, Media, Public Affairs and ICT Committee.
While the Standing Committees chaired by Honourable members are 22 in numbers.
Performing the inauguration on behalf of the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Muhammed Fadeyi, noted that the various committees are saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring that the laws passed by the legislature were implemented in the state ministries, departments and agencies.
In her opening remarks, the Clerk of the House, Mrs. Oludara Awe urged the committee members to discharge their duties with the fear of God.
