RANAO Reaffirms commitment to Members’ Welfare at 37

Oyo State Chapter of the Retired Army Navy and Airforce Officers Association of Nigeria, RANAO, has held its 37th Anniversary Day.

The 37th Anniversary was held inside the premises of RANAO, at Agodi, Ibadan.

In his address, National President of RANAO, Major General, Abdulgafar Adewuyi, saluted the progenitors of the association for coming together to ensure that the welfare of retired Army, Navy and Air force officers are prioritised.

Represented by Chairman of RANAO, Oyo State Chapter, Rear Admiral Babatunde Egbedina, Major General Adewuyi, said the efforts of the progenitors would never be forgotten.

Major General Adewuyi also congratulated the retired officers for being alive to witness the day and reassured members of the association’s commitment in catering for their welfare.

The Major General also called on federal and state governments to continue to prioritise the welfare of security officers.

Dignitaries present were General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Major General Obinna Onubogu was represented by Brigadier General Muazu, the Garrison Commander, immediate past Chairman of RANAO, Colonel Michael Ajayi, other sisters agencies and Secretary Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP Oyo State Council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan.

Highlights of the events include health talk, cultural display and cutting of cake.
