There is strength in your numbers – Advocates Tell Women

Two women advocate, have claimed that the challenges faced by women begins with them.

The women advocate, former Chairman Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Mrs Jadesola Ajibola, and Chairperson, the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, WOWICAN, Dr. Patricia Amechi-Obi made the claim on the occasion of International Women’s Day, on Pensioners FM programme, “Voice of Liberation.”

According to Mrs Ajibola and Dr Amechi-Obi, women donot support each other enough in tackling the challenges faced by them.

While highlighting the challenges faced by women to include sexual harassment, gender based violence, gender inequality and culture silence, they advised women that there is strength in their numbers.

Speaking further, Mrs Ajibola and Dr Amechi-Obi called for the empowerment of women and more women participation in politics.

Also contributing, two Public Affairs Analysts, Barrister Kunle Abimbola and Mr John Njoku called on women to love each other more and urged men to keep supporting women in all areas of their lives.
