A five-day materials and radio content workshop for the rebranded and rejig radio drama on healthy living for children and women have opened in Lagos.
The Programme put together by the United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, Lagos field office, has in attendance Health Care providers, Radio content managers, Social Behavioural experts and other stakeholders drawn from Southwest.
Declaring the workshop open, the Programme Director, Mr. Rotimi Babalola, said the workshop became imperative in order to come up with issue based radio contents, as part of efforts to address critical health issues affecting expectant mothers, children and women.
Mr. Babalola who is also a Director in the Oyo State Ministry of Information and Orientation, enjoined participants to rob minds and come up with 52 effective radio drama contents that could enlighten the public on various thematic areas.

On his part, the Oyo State UNICEF Consultant, Mr. Samuel Olatunji, said the participants were selected for the workshop based on their professional background and past contributions to public enlightenment.
Among the participant include General Manager, Pensioners’ FM, Ibadan, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, General Manager, Diamond FM, University of Ibadan, Dr. Paul Emokhare, and a Principal Programmes Officer, Radio Nigeria, Southwest Zone, Mr. Moses Morenikeji.


The 5 – Day Programme ends on Friday.
