The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde for the appointment of Honourable Ademola Ige as the Chairman, Local Government Staff Pension Board.
State President, NULGE, Comrade Ayobami Adeogun made this known at a reception with members of the union and Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council.
Comrade Adeogun said the elevation of Honourable Ige is a welcome development especially by the exploits as a former leader in the state local government administration.
Comrade Adeogun commended Governor Makinde for appointing a thorough bred professional.

On his part, the newly appointed Chairman of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Honourable Ige, promised to foster harmony between the board and other stakeholders on pension matters.

Earlier, Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, while pledging the union’s support to Honourable Ige,urged him to urgently look into issues affecting retirees of Local Government Staff Pension Board.
Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Board, Alhaji Lukman Muraina, Chairman, Oyo NUP, Chief Isiaka Abolade, Chairman Retired Primary School Teachers, Comrade Dosu Akinpelu and Assistant Secretary, Oyo NUP, Comrade Banji Koleoso were among dignitaries present at the event.
