In furtherance of their efforts to reduce avoidable accidents on some major roads in Ibadan, the Coordinator, Cooperative Unit Eleyele, Ibadan of Special Marshals, RS 11.3 of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Command, Special Marshal Joseph Igwe, has revealed the unit’s plans to put zebra crossing signs in three locations around Eleyele, the Polytechnic and Sango areas of Ibadan, the Oyo state Capital.
Special Marshal Igwe, made this known while speaking with Pensioners FM Correspondent on activities of the command towards minimising road accidents.
According to the Road safety volunteer’s enthusiast, the zebra crossing is to help reduce accidents especially around school areas.
Special Marshal Igwe however implored road users to always abide by road safety rules and regulations to reduce road accidents in the state and across the country.
Special Marshal Igwe also commended the Oyo State Special Marshals Coordinator, Pastor John Adegbotoluwa, for his proactive leadership skills.
