Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), in Oyo State, have directed all workers in the state to pack all their personal belongings from their offices tomorrow and resume at NLC Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan on Monday for state congress.
Chairman of NLC, Comrade Kayode Martins and TUC Chairman, Comrade Bosun Olabiyi said this in a statement jointly signed and made available to newsmen, after the joint SAC & SEC meeting of the two labour unions in Ibadan.
The statement said this became imperative after the expiration of the seven days ultimatum served on the State Government who is yet to proffer lasting solutions to grievances of workers and pensioners in the state.
Comrade Martins and Comrade Olabiyi said Pensioners are not left out from the congress on Monday, which will be the largest congress in the history of Oyo State.
The labour union leaders also condemned the alleged attack on the national president of Nigeria Labour Congress in Imo State.
