The Oyo State government has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring adequate health care service delivery for pensioners in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Health, Dr Joshua Faleye made this known at a one-day medical outreach organised for members of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council, held at Agbarigo, Onireke Ibadan.
Dr Faleye, said the outreach was part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s agenda to strengthen the welfare of senior citizens in the state by making health care accessible to them.
In his opening remarks, Secretary, Oyo NUP, Comrade Olusegun Abatan lauded the state government for the initiative and appealed for the outreach to be done after every six months.

Some of the beneficiaries, who prayed for Governor Makinde, appreciated him for pririotising their wellbeing.

The medical outreach featured health talks, medical checkups such as eye test, blood test and surgery for patients in need of it.
