Vanguard Pharmacy Limited Opens 11th Branch in Akobo

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has promised to create more investment friendly environment for various levels of business towards upward socio-economic development of the state.

Governor Makinde made this known at the grand opening of the 11th branch of Vanguard Pharmacy Limited at Omolayo, Akobo, Ibadan

Governor Makinde, represented by the state Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Professor Musibau Babatunde, while commending Vanguard Pharmacy Limited for contributing to the state’s economic strength, encouraged the one stop pharmaceutical and retail Business Company to spread its wings across the state.

The Oyo State Governor, who commended the ingenuity of the founders of the company, also reiterated his commitment to creating favourable environment to attract more investors to the state.

Earlier in his remark, the Chief Executive Officer, Vanguard Pharmacy Limited, Pharmacist Taofik Odukoya, who lauded Governor Makinde for his efforts at bringing improvement to the economy of Oyo State, however called on the federal government to ensure stable foreign exchange market and an end to the inflation affecting the price of health related products.

Pharmacist Odukoya said the opening of the new branch was in fulfilment of the company’s mission to create smart health benefits to the people as well as creating employments through the related chains of businesses which include bakery, veterinary and supermarket.

Vanguard Pharmacy Limited started operations in 2006, at its headquarter, Monatan-Iwo Road, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Dignitaries present at the event were Lemo of Ode Lemo, Ogun state, Oba Rufai Odumesi, Aare Balogun Adinni of Mowe, Alhaji Sikirulahi Odukoya, National Chairman, Association of community Pharmacist of Nigeria, Oyo state chapter, Pharmacist Adewale Oladigbolu, NAFDAC southwest Zonal Director, Mrs Roseline Ajayi, represented by Mr Thomas Adeyemo, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan, Professor Titilayo Fakeye and the General Manager, Pensioners FM, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu.
