NLC Reiterates Commitment to Representing Interest of Nigerian Workers

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has reiterated her commitment to represent the interest of Nigerian workers in the public and private sectors.

Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Oyo State Council, Comrade Kayode Martins made this known while featuring on the maiden edition of a sponsored bilingual labour programme, Workers Time Out (Osise Gbode).

He disclosed that NLC not only prioritizes the needs of workers, but also the interest of all Nigerians.

Comrade Martins, while speaking on the essence of the programme, said it was in a bid to rub minds and also disseminate information to workers and residents of the state.

Speaking further, Comrade Martins alleged that the recent invasion of the NLC Secretariat in Abuja and further threat to arrest NLC National President, Comrade Joe Ajero, by the Police, is a ploy by the federal government to intimidate the labour community and such behavior will not be tolerated.

Accompanying the State NLC chairman to the programme was the State Vice Chairman, Organise Private Sector, Comrade Oyeleke Adejoke and other executives, Comrade Olanipekun Oluwaseye, Comrade Bayo Aribatishe, Comrade Kehinde Olayade and Comrade Adeola Odedina.

Workers Time Out ” Osise Gbode'” is a labour centered programme which comes up every Wednesday from 11 0′ Clock in the morning to 12 midday.
